Aurike Quintelier (1992°) is an architect and artist based in belgium. Her work consists of drawings, site-specific installations, research and architecture - with which she searches for the connection between people and places. The focus is on making evident existing symbiotic relations and stories, often working in close collaboration with community, other artists and clients.
In her architectural projects, the language between outside and inside, past and present is key - creating spaces that are deeply rooted in their surroundings. When possible her work is vernacular, and with a clear link to the site's geopolitical context.
Quintelier was trained as an architect at KU Leuven in Belgium, and since 2023 teaches two architectural courses at LUCA School of Arts in Ghent.

​Aurike Quintelier (1992°) is architect en kunstenaar gebaseerd in België. Haar werk bestaat uit tekeningen, site-specifieke installaties, onderzoek en architectuur - waarmee ze op zoek gaat naar de connectie tussen mensen en plekken. De focus ligt op het evident maken van bestaande symbiotische relaties en verhalen, vaak nauw samenwerkend met lokale gemeenschap, andere kunstenaars en klanten.
In haar architectuurprojecten is de taal tussen binnen en buiten belangrijk, alsook verleden en heden, waardoor de projecten diep geworteld zijn in hun omgeving. Waar mogelijk wordt vernaculair gewerkt, en met een duidelijke link naar de geopolitieke context van de site.
Quintelier studeerde architectuur aan de KU Leuven, en geeft sinds 2023 les aan LUCA School of Arts in Gent.
